The gardens are very pleasant to wander around with many unusual features and sculptures by well known artists. The visit does not include a guided tour, but there are two well signed tours to follow in your own time. Please check out their web site for more details (https://www.barnardsfarm.eu/). Please note that the miniature railway will not be open for our visit.
The Motor Museum contains a collection of cars that are mainly from the early years of motoring (De Dion-Bouton etc.). They are immaculate with the vast majority in running order. Unusually, the cars are very accessible, you can touch and even sit in the cars as long as care is taken. There are also plenty of early motoring related items on show. One of the volunteers should be available to give guidance and information on the cars and a safety briefing.
Due to the restrictions imposed by Covid, there are currently no catering options available, therefore you will need to bring a picnic for your lunch. There are 10 picnic tables under a covered area (in the train station) and various other seating areas that are accessible. On your arrival, please use Barnards Farm own free car park.
Note: There is plenty of walking involved as Barnards Gardens is a large area much of it on grass. For members who have a disability, please contact Chris before making your booking.
