From Manet to Cezanne, this exhibition traces the development of Impressionists and PostImpressionist paintings through a selection of over forty masterpieces. While the Courtauld Gallery is temporarily closed, some of its great masterpieces are now sitting alongside the National’s for this exhibition. Mixing the National’s own superb collection of French 19th-century art with the one amassed by the industrialist Samuel Courtauld in the 1920s makes for a display that may actually be better than visiting the Musée d’ Orsay in Paris.
NOTE: The tickets we have purchased enable you to visit the exhibition between 10 am and 2 pm.
The exhibition is in the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery
