We are arranging this Full Board Holiday with Dunwood Travel for our Club members and their guests but although we will handle the bookings, Dunwood Travel will be running the break.
Enjoy a seven night, fully inclusive break at a lovely hotel in Cyprus.
Location and Hotel
We will be staying at the four star Athena Beach Hotel in Kato, Paphos. This hotel is rated 4.5 out of 5 based on over 5,000 reviews on Trip Advisor.
The hotel is situated directly on the beach, a pleasant walk away from the picturesque harbour, the archaeological sites, the shops and the nightlife. There is a bus stop just outside the Hotel grounds and taxis are always available. Parking in the hotel car park is free for guests.
The resort is conveniently situated within easy driving distance of Paphos airport, which is just 15 km away. As an added bonus for golf lovers, there are four super golf courses easily accessible by car.
The hotel caters to all tastes and offers a variety of cuisines from Mediterranean to Italian food.
The leisure facilities feature four external, freshwater swimming pools (one of which is dedicated to adults) and two paddling pools, an indoor pool (heated November to April) plus indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis.
The hotel provides:

- Social dancing and tuition with the resident dance team
Food and Drink
All meals and drinks are included, as follows:
- Enriched buffet breakfast in the Atrium restaurant
- Choice of meals for lunch in the Leda restaurant
- Buffet dinner in the Atrium restaurant
- Snacks, desserts, ice-cream, served from 11:00 -18:30 in the Leda restaurant
- Drinks. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and local and internationally produced alcoholic drinks throughout the day until midnight (excludes superior quality drinks, such as blue/black label, VSOP cognac, champagne, etc)
- Daily replenishment of in-room coffee & tea
Travel
We will fly from London Gatwick to Paphos. The flight time is approximately 5 hours. The flights are:
Outbound 19/11/26 – 07:15. Arrive Paphos 13:45
Inbound 26/11/26 – 14:30. Arrive Gatwick 17:30
Given the early morning departure flight, you may want to book a hotel room in Gatwick for the night of 18 November, at your own expense.
Baggage Allowance: 1 small piece of hand baggage and min 15 kgs. check-in hold baggage. Airline charges extra for higher weights.
Price
At this stage we cannot confirm the exact price as flight prices might vary slightly by the time we book. However, they are likely to be in the region of those shown below. The “One Person” prices include a Single Occupancy Charge of £25 per person per night.

It is essential that you have travel insurance in place from time of booking. This should be in place to cover your deposit too, should you need to cancel.
How to Book
Payments must be made to our Club bank account, which is:

You also need to send a scanned copy of your passport(s) to LIRCNews@gmail.com when you pay your deposit. We have to supply these to Dunwood Travel to be sure there are no errors when flights are booked.
Non-refundable deposits of £250 per person must reach our bank account by Monday 26th January 2026 latest.
The final payment is due by Friday 4th September 2026.
Please note that others, also booked with Dunwood Travel, will be on our flights and at the hotel during this break.
