The heart of the Museum is the cars. The foundation of the heritage fleet began with the bequest of a 1934 Ulster. Over the years, this has grown through purchase, loan and donation. The museum currently cares for many vehicles, engineering prototypes, design models and cutaways. Due to the size of the museum, a selection of cars is on display, but this is rotated on a regular basis.
Current models on display are:
- A3
- AMR1/01
- DB7 V12 Zagato
- Nimrod
- Ulster
- 2012 V12 Vanquish cutaway
As well as these primary exhibits the museum also features the following:
- A collection of scale model Aston Martins
- Both whole and carefully cutaway engines so that you can see inside and admire the engineering
- Trophies won by David Brown during the height of his racing days with Aston Martin
- A collection of classic tools and measuring instruments used to manufacture Aston Martins. The cars were manufactured by hand for over 80 years
- Overalls, helmets and equipment used by many racing drivers over the years. These include St John ‘Jock’ Horsfall, Mort Morris-Goodall, private racers such as Dick Anthony, and the celebrated names of the 1950s such as Stirling Moss and Roy Salvadori
A museum host will be on hand during the visit to ensure that you do not miss out on some of the hidden treasures and stories.
The visit is likely to take approximately 2-2.5 hours.
