Join the tour for a warm and welcoming visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea. We will hear the history of the 330-year-old Hospital. The tour takes in the splendour of Grade I and II listed buildings and the Hospital’s artistic masterpieces. It will bring to life the long-standing ambassadorial role of the Chelsea Pensioners, including personal stories of their time at the Hospital.
Event timings are:
- 13:45 Arrive at Chelsea Gate where will meet our Chelsea Pensioner guide
- 14:00 Guided Walking Tour
- 15:30 Visit to the Museum and Shop
- 16:00 Depart
Mobility Considerations: The Royal Hospital Chelsea site is 66 acres. Although the tour does not cover all of this it does involve a lot of walking. There are also ten steps up to both the Chapel and Great Hall, both of which are fitted with wheelchair lifts. Note that motorised buggies are not permitted on the wheelchair lift. Please make us aware of any mobility requirements in response to the Disability Requirements question on your booking form.
