Treasure Hunt Walk – St Paul’s and Secret City

Hidden between the giant banks and wide boulevards of the city is another ancient and evocative City of London. The Treasure Hunt clues will direct you for approximately two miles (about 2 – 3 hours). We will take in the little gardens, former monasteries, tiny nooks and hidden alleyways with names like Magpie Alley, Wine Office Court and Gunpowder Square.

This Treasure Hunt Walk starts by St Paul’s Tube Station and finishes near St Paul’s Cathedral.

We will meet you by the tube station with a set of clues which will lead you to our pub of choice (to be advised). With the final clue completed head to our chosen pub, which is not far from St Paul’s Cathedral and the station, for the hunt answers plus your reward of light refreshments. There are many shops, cafes and pubs on route.

You may think you know the St Paul’s area well, but it still takes time seeking out the answers to clues. Each clue leads on to the next and can be found on public information boards, walls and blue plaques.

It is not a race and if you miss a clue, or can’t find the answer, simply continue with the next one – you can’t get lost! Walk alone if you wish, but groups of three and four can be more fun. It will take approximately two hours plus to complete the walk of just over two miles, not counting the time you may spend taking refreshments on route.

Inclement weather will not deter us, but you may like to bring a plastic folder to keep clues dry.
